What is GreenSulations?

We are a start-up company providing innovative solutions and product manufacturing for environmentally conscious building insulation systems.

Innovations

We have developed a manufacturing process that allows us to calibrate the
density of the straw during compression between 80 and 220 kg/m3.
The compressed straw blocks leave the production unit with a uniform size of
1250 mm x 2400 mm.

The thickness of the blocks can vary between 5 and 25 cm.
Thanks to our innovative and patented tying method, the straw blocks can then be cut to the requested size according to the needs of the construction site.
They can be cut to virtually any shape without any loss of integrity:

Our values - Your benefits

01

Green

Green

Our products show fabolous life-cycle analysis results from their creation to their degradation : negligible embodied energy, CO2 sequestration, zero waste...
The modules are also pleasant to the touch and smell.
And what is left on site after construction is completely biodegradable, and can be recycled even as mulch in the kitchen garden.

02

Performant

Performant

Thanks to the R&D activities of our professional team, the building physics parameters of our modules can compete in all areas with industrially manufactured insulation products.

03

Easy & Fast

Easy & Fast

One of our main objectives is that our products make construction quick and easy. Get the job done in no time and without pain is the best way to transform work a source of pleasure and satisfaction.

04

Affordable

Affordable

We do not share the view that ”what is environmentally friendly must necessarily be expensive”.
Therefore, we make considerable efforts to be able to offer our products at very competitive prices compared to other insulation solutions available on the market.

05

Ethical

Ethical

The entire process from raw material sourcing to sales is a series of human interactions. In all these interactions, we act according to Fair Trade principles.

06

Trackable

Trackable

The origin and production history of our modules can be traced back at any time thanks to their identification labels.

GS Shield

Facade covering plasterable top layer

  1. Standard thickness of 5cm
  2. Transversely isotropic* fiber spatial arrangement for the highest available thermal insulation capacity and mechanical resistance
  3. Patented innovative binding solution that allows the module to be cut and customized to any size and shape on site
  4. Open to water vapour diffusion providing a breathable insulation
  5. Jute mesh stitched to the module structure to ensure a perfect adherance of the primer
  6. High pressure sprayed 3mm thick primer plaster layer made of natural, water vapour diffusion open sand and lime mixture
  7. Inserts that can be level plastered in one motion after the dowels have been installed
  8. Uniquely high compacted density [ρ = 200 - 220 kg/m3] which has many benefits:
    - outstanding compressive and bending strength
    - impenetrable for rodents, larger insects or birds
    - excellent fire resistance (self-estinguishing combustion due to the lack of oxigen in the straw matrix)
    - no creeping (long term deformations) possible under the weight of the plaster
